Built in 1874, the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse is known as "The Victorian Lighthouse". It sits on the
coast in North
Wildwood, New Jersey.

It was one of the first lighthouses to be family-friendly, having bedrooms and a living area with a fireplace.

The steps are narrow and steep, but not too high.

Gardens have been put in by the group restoring the lighthouse, and the squirrels love it!

Next door to the lighthouse is the police station......... I guess they need to patrol the waters, too!
We searched for the
Absecon Lighthouse in Atlantic city until it got dark, then gave up for the day. Tomorrow we will head on further up the coast in search of others.......... for now, we are dead tired.
G'nite!
Hope y'all are having a great time!
