Today we took off in our little beloved red car with the goal of seeing as many New Jersey lighthouses as possible. We managed to see only a couple, but we thoroughly enjoyed those two! We will blog them separately.

Along the roadsides were many produce stands, mostly full of BIG bright orange pumpkins!

They were very picturesque!

Also spotted, was a beautiful swan strolling down the side of the street!

Sample of the Atlantic Ocean along the roadside. It appears to be angrier than the Pacific Ocean. Much swirling and high, rough waves.

In an effort to keep the forceful tides off of the roadway (not always successfully!), giant rock walls have been erected at strategic areas.

There are many toll bridges and roads in New Jersey.

The houses and buildings are incredible! So much older and ornate than we typically see on the West Coast!

So stately!

Many beautiful old churches in the East!

Wawa convenience stores are all over the place! Kind of like a 7-Eleven. The logo contains a seagull-like bird, and we are wondering if perhaps there is a bird called '
wawa'. Does anyone out there know?
Okay............ on to the lighthouses!
Great pictures!
