Lift-off minus 3 days and counting . . . except that, in the whirlwind of activities that must be done before we leave, there's hardly breath or mind available to spare for such a task as counting, only an acute awareness of the impending deadline looming ever closer. As best she can, Shirley is preparing her garden to survive the nearly 3 weeks we will be gone, as well as preserving what's ready to harvest now; and Joy is packing into these few remaining hours before take-off days and weeks of work on her several part-time jobs. And I have my own list as well, but I can now check off my list that I've imported to facebook this blog url so that those of you who are so inclined can check in while we are gone and find out what outrageous adventures we've embarked on since your last visit.
In case you are wondering what this is all about, Shirley, Joy, and I are about to exit the Pacific Northwest and transplant ourselves for nearly three weeks in the Garden State (New Jersey) and its surrounding locale. We are going to walk and look and hopefully survive the crazy driving over there . . . and talk and laugh and share and get to know each other better and more.
More later . . .
