Aunt Toots

We have arrived!!! After a looong red-eye flight, we set foot in Philadelphia to warm mugginess and sunshine. And absolute fatigue. Anna Lyn was drawn to a shiny red Toyota Yaris to chauffeur the 3 peeps around. First on the list ..... FOOD! Burger King food! Feeling a little more human now. Next on the to-do list? SLEEP!!! Okay, so we met Aunt Toots before we hit dreamland. Then we dropped our heads on pillows and floated in and out of fuzziness for several hours. Now we were almost feeling totally human again. Until we had a full night's sleep and a hot shower, this would have to hold us over.

We had a delicious dinner, whipped up by two of us, leaving the clean-up chores to the third peep. Over the meal, Aunt Toots shared interesting bits and pieces of her past with us. Joy's hope is to glean as much family history as possible from her during our visit. She is a delightful aunt, with 90 years to her name. Her hospitality outshines the best of us!
